Moore College of Art & Design

Project Description

The Moore College of Art & Design renovation enhances learning spaces and encourages moments of collaboration and gathering. A new student walkway at the lower level joins Sarah Peter Hall and Wilson Hall — a connection previously accessed by a series of elevator changes and a brief walk outside. A new student lounge is effortlessly tucked in the found space between buildings. The concourse level of Wilson Hall underwent full architectural and mechanical demolition to make way for new classrooms — a sculpture studio, ceramics studio, kiln room, glaze room, and plaster studio. Sarah Peter Hall incorporates an Animation and Game Arts studio, editing bays, computer labs, and a stop-motion studio. A new gaming lounge offers reprieve from everyday classes. Pin-up walls and art displays are incorporated throughout the renovated level, making use of every surface and ensuring a lively and creative environment.
