Good Shepherd Penn Partners Therapy & Fitness

Project Description

Good Shepherd Penn Partners Therapy & Fitness in University City occupies one and a half floors of 3737 Science Center, a core and shell building that INTECH completed. The project required a fast-track approach to ensure the tenant space was completed with the core and shell construction to meet the anticipated occupancy date. The facility houses an outpatient physical therapy practice with administrative spaces and therapist work areas, a gym, and a small therapy pool.

Over a decade later, INTECH worked with Good Shepherd Penn Partners again to renovate their space based on changes in client needs and therapy techniques. Divided into three phases, the first two phases of work created areas where staff and patients could continue to engage in therapy without disruption. The third phase renovated the cleared third floor, which included removing the therapy pool, providing structural reinforcement for its removal, new administration and office spaces, new exam rooms for lymphedema and hand-therapy patients, and an updated waiting room with reception. The space was designed to maximize the quality of the patient experience with a focus on privacy, creating a destination medical site with friendly waiting spaces, comfort amenities, accessible parking, and accommodations for family members.
