Penn Medicine University City
The Community Health Facility at Penn Medicine University City occupies ten floors of 3737 Science Center, a 13-story Class A mixed-use laboratory and office building built by INTECH. The fit-outs were phased over floors and required a fast-track approach to ensure the first tenant spaces were completed with the core and shell construction in order to meet the anticipated occupancy date. The first level of the building provides a covered area for patient drop-off with a dedicated lobby. The new facility houses a musculo/skeletal exam practice, an outpatient surgery center, medical imaging administrative offices, and a conference center. The clinic space was designed to maximize the quality of the patient experience with a focus on privacy. Subsequent phases include 40 exam rooms, offices, nurse stations for a family practice, a dental treatment area with over 24 dental chairs, a dermatology suite, a sterile area, and an imaging room. The tenth floor also includes the 20,400 SF Biedermann Biomechanical Research Lab and additional exam rooms and offices for UPHS.
