In The News: INTECH comes together for a day of service at Work to Ride
Following INTECH’s recent transformation of the Chamounix Equestrian Center for Work to Ride, we undertook a service project to help outfit the organization’s new space. We built spectator bleachers, Adirondack chairs, picnic benches, raised planters, and lockers. Our crew also mulched, planted, and mucked horse stalls, preparing the new McCausland Arena and surrounding area for local youth and polo matches.
Founded in 1994, Work to Ride empowers underserved Philadelphia youth through equine sports and horsemanship. Our project included construction of the 45,000 SF McCausland Arena, a pre-engineered 250’ x 150’ equestrian surface for riding lessons and polo training. A new bio-retention basin, improved site drainage, and resurfaced paddocks enhance horse well-being and build out the site. Our current phase of work includes renovating the existing horse stables to provide housing for the animals, new offices, a lounge, storage rooms, and a locker room. The expanded facility allows Work to Ride to serve more youth, year-round, and foster connections between the Philadelphia community and polo. Please join us in celebrating with Work to Ride at their first public event at the new McCausland Arena on Saturday, September 27th. There are morning and afternoon matches, so get your tickets now!
